What is Maoshan Authentic Heritage about?

茅山正宗传承说什么?

China’s Maoshan Heritage has passed on for thousands of years, but how did it pass on to Taiwan after a break in tradition from the forefather masters? What is the specific lineage in Taiwan that has inherited the Taoist culture?

The true Chinese Taoist culture and cultivation lineage is not merely about Dao De Jing (Scripture of the Way and its Virtue), the folk heritage of the Maoshan culture, or merely a few talismans from Maoshan ancestors. This is not enough to prove that one is the direct lineage.

In Mainland China, there are also many Taoist priests and capable people from Maoshan sect. Ancestral master belongs to everyone, even if one is a disciple of the direct sect, he cannot stop others from praying to his ancestral master. It is actually a good thing, because it implies the popularity of the sect.

Disciples and devotees do not need to mind the rumors from others. Many current Taoist cultures already differ and turn things upside down, and deviate from established practices. This is because the heritage has been lost for too long so we do not have to represent the Maoshan sect to argue with the outside world and turn ourselves into a target for others. Isnt that meaningless?

The most important thing in entering the Tao is whether you really understand the “Tao”. When others discuss the Tao and the Maoshan sect also discusses the Tao, so what kind of Tao does Maoshan say? Whether this Dao belongs to the Dao system of the inheritance system or not, this is extremely important!

Back to the ancient Tao, it is not difficult at all, the Tao lies in the easy, the easy lies in the simplified characters, whether it is the technology passed down by the ancestors of Maoshan, there must be a proof of inheritance of the mantle, which is fundamental for scholars.

For example, when I was editing the “Maoshan Dafa Urn”, I made a special explanation and put forward the Maoshan 27-character mental method, which is the stage of systematic cultivation and the law of entering the Tao.

Yin and Yang cooperate with the five fortunes and six qi of heaven and earth, running between heaven and earth, ghosts and gods and all life exist in the universe and the world, the birth, death and evolution of life are affected by the five elements and six qi and change, cultivation can make life escape from the constraints of the world, and cultivate the realm of unity between heaven and man.

Spells are techniques, you and I are both human beings, why can we have the power to control ghosts and gods after cultivation? If you lack the mental method of self-cultivation, you only have the image of the talisman, then it is not the fundamental avenue. The talisman needs to be combined with external cultivation and internal practice, the talisman is a totem seal, and the practice of the mind and mind is combined with the external totem, and the body and mind are integrated to start the realm of unity with heaven and earth. The way of ghosts and gods lies in the changes of yin and yang, the body is a tool that belongs to the metaphysical, and the mind belongs to the metaphysical.

中国茅山传承已有数千年之久,但传承宗师断层之后,为何又能传至台湾呢?在台湾的传承有何具体的法脉,真具有道统文化的传承吗?

中华真实道统文化与修炼法脉,那不是拿一本道经就是传承,民间传述的茅山体系,仅是几道茅山老祖的符箓,这根本就不足以证明法脉的传承。

在中国大陆上也有不少传自茅山的道士与能人,祖师爷是属于大家的,就算自己是有传承的弟子,也不能拒绝别人来信奉你的祖师爷,这不仅是好事,也是代表宗门的知名度。

弟子信众根本就不用在意外边的传言,现代道统文化诸多颠倒是非与判经离道的行为,这是失传过久的缘故,我们不用代表茅山宗门与外争论,当作别人的标靶,又毫无益处?

入道修行最重要在于是否真懂得「道」,别人讨论修道,而茅山宗门也论道,那么茅山是说什么道?这个道是不是属于传承体系的道统,这个就极为重要了!

回到古代论道,根本就不难,道在于易,易就在于简字,是不是茅山老祖亲传的技术,必须有传承衣钵的证明,这对于学者来说是根本所在。

譬如『茅山大法箓』编辑时,我就特别的说明,将茅山二十七字心法提出来,这是体系修行的次第与入道的法则。

阴阳配合天地五运六气,运行在天地之间,鬼神与万物生命是存在于宇宙天地之中,生命的生灭与演变,乃是受到五行六气的左右而变化,修道能使生命能遁超世俗的约束,修成天人合一的境界。

法术即是技术,你我同是人,为何经过修炼之后能有操控鬼神之力量?欠缺自我修炼的心法,仅有符箓的图象那就不是根本大道。符箓本就需要配合外修内炼,符箓是图腾法篆,心神的练习配合外在图腾合而为一,身心一体启动与天地合一的境界。符箓没有灌注精气神就是个图像,鬼神之道在于阴阳的变化,肉体是器具属于形而下,心灵是属于形而上,上下贯通融合一体,就能遁入真实的玄妙情境中。
